Hi!

I am the creator, artist, and maker of everything in the world of A 70s Kid. As a Canadian, there were moments when one might think that both kids and adults could get bored, but that was never true for me. With a nearly constant flow of creative ideas during those times as an only child left to entertain myself, I discovered enjoyment in making things. (Transforming shoeboxes and Sears catalogs into homes for Smurfs, Strawberry Shortcake, and My Little Ponies. Sewing and crocheting outfits for my Barbie and Cindy dolls, as well as playing school with all my stuffed animals and dolls.)

Now over 50, that enthusiasm hasn’t waned... it never does!

Today, that passion translates into creating art, whether digitally or traditionally, and repurposing vintage children's books into sketchbooks, journals, and planners. I even craft keychains, bag charms, and journal charms inspired by my affection for tiny toys and all the little treasures I discover and collect.

All these creations are safely stored in my home, where I live with my loving husband, my daughter and son, along with our Blue Heeler, Nova.

It’s time to share all these creations with all of you. Because it doesn’t matter what era we were born into; we all desire connection, and sometimes all it takes is stepping back into our childhood to remind us that joy can be found in everyday moments.
